Although its not something to be all that proud of, considering the fact that Beadbi is going on, in a way its somewhat reassuring that there is some level of moral, ethical sense in regards to how Sikhi is practiced and preached.

Bhai Shinda Singh, thanks for highlighting this, I saw it You Tube a few days back it was indeed most disturbing. The singer (with the turban and shaved face is also Salinder Pardesi of the Bhangra band, so hardly surprising that they are now dancing like fools), however I must say that when you state “(the) UK’s a perfect example of what happens when you let the Jhajaroo spirit slide for just a minute” you are grossly mistaken.
There are plenty of very committed Sikhs in the UK, sadly the truth is that the Gurughar within walking distance to this ek divas place is actually a karkhoo affliated Gurdwara (sedgeley road) predominantly occupied by the Federation – so pretty much what most people would consider “Jhajaroo” in spirit, yet they have done sweet nothing about this under their own noses.
Compare this to other instances where local sangat (yes the shirt pants type that some like you would be quick to term ‘dead’ in Jhajaroo spirit together with others in Bana) have come to control and eliminate beadbi and appease matters concerning the community without making any public scenes for the global world to see on You Tube etc.
To the poster “what the” – no this is not the DODRA sangat, I suggest you kindly research your facts, next you’ll be one of those who claim that the AKJ are a cult and that Taksal are terrorists – don’t give into gossip and your bibek budhi.
Back to the point, I believe numerous youth within the UK (north) have lobbied with local Gurughars to address this situation this morning – so Shinda Singh, rather than ridiculing the UK Singhs and Singhnees, perhaps a little encouragement for your brethren in arms wouldn’t go amiss, or would you prefer we start having full fledge fights in the Langar Hall (i.e. in the Gurughar and the presence of Maharaj), ripping each others turbans off, misabusing our kirpans etc like the Canadian Sikhs, where according to you “the Jhajaroo spirit” is alive and kicking, did on National TV for obviously great publicity of panthic matters.

No doubt I struck a nerve, and undoubtedly you are right in almost all claims.
Firstly to clarify something; the Jhajaroo spirit does not confine itself to those in Bana, and I think its a grotesque error to imply and assume I feel otherwise, since this was not hinted at all throughout.
As for UK Singhs and supporting them, the R4G campaign has been an inspiration to many, but the Jhajaroo spirit I’m talking about is more to do with the physical presence of fear amongst those who would care to disrespect Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, after all its only due to lack of fear that lets these individuals exist with little fear of action being taken against them.
As for the Jhajaroo movement being dead in the UK; I again do not feel that it is currently non existent rather the new generation there is going through a revival of sorts and bringing awareness back towards Gurmat, however I do feel that the generation of the past must have lost something in spirit, giving rise to the opportunity for such groups to act in such ways.
To clarify the Kirpaan/Tables issue this was an embarrassing moment, especially when one looks at the real politics behind things, however that only goes to further my point that things are nicer hear in Toronto versus BC (The west coast province where this occured). (Lets also not forget that the “Besti” demonstrations also had negative national coverage; but lets not point fingers at such matters since I think Sangat all over the World has has messed up.)
To conclude its not that the jhajaroo spirit is dead in UK, rather it is only seemingly being revived, however it was the dormant silence of this spirit in the past years which I would accredit to giving rise in such beadbi, and don’t get me wrong Toronto is usually only 5 years behind BC in regards to problems in Sangat, and 10 years behind UK, so hopefully we’ll learn from both mistakes and handle them better here, but chances are history may just repeat itself.

Your derogatory remarks concerning “papay” (i.e. khatris) are grossly inaccurate and totally irresponsible not to mention offensive to a community from whom our Gurus descend and many key figures in Sikh history (such as Baba Sahib Singh Bedi, Sant Teja Singh, Professor Satnam Singh Sethi and others).

“jattinder singh” – again, you are fallng into the trap of “Khalsa Ji” above by using obsenities so freely, we need to be wary of this and our conduct at all times – I am not any better at this, but the reason I harp on about this is because in line with sdf’s comment “we (should) focus on the problem at hand”.
However, it is a lot more than just “Hindu influences” – we need to ask ourselves why people – sangat, even those in Keshdhari or Amritdhari saroop, feel the need to move away from the Panth at large – the answer is a lot more than some sinster conspiracy theory.
If certain right wing groups has infiltrated Sikh insitutions and homes there is a clear reason – there exists some weakness within the Panth – most people like to blame this solely on the the lack of rehit within the Panth, however again, despite this being the common theme and protested for numerous decades it hasn’t done much to change the situation – so clealy it is something more.
Argubly we could even view the forcing of rehit down peoples throats as having the opposite effect than desired given the increased levels of patit behaviour across the Diaspora, for instance:
1. Punjab – the level of patit-puna here is at an all time high, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find Keshadhari families let alone Amritdharis. Just to add on the “Papay” comment above, I was last year contacted by e-mail from young sardars in Punjab wanting to trim their beards and cut their hair, I spoke to them and tried to explain otherwise, we discussed at length their motivations, after going through all of them (girls, jobs, ease of maintenance and so on), gues what, it wasn’t non-sikhs who teased these guys about their Dastaar (in fact, despite Sardar Ji jokes, they were they ones telling them to keep their turbans and beards because “it is your tradition as a Sardar – don’t loose it”), but their own community – here’s what one chap had to say: “I am tired of being called a Papa because I wear a Turban, Punjab belongs to the Jatts who act like heros with their hair cuts and shaved faces, anyone wearng a Pagri is usually ridiculed by being called a Papa Ji”.
This is the case despite Punjab being the active ground for Damdami Taksal (the “moving university of the Sikhs”) to preach, active ground for the AKJ with their strongholds in various pinds and towns to hold numerous samagams, active ground for the Sant Samaj with all their deras, active ground for the SGPC and the Sikh Missionary College, active ground for the Budha Dal and Tarna Dal Nihangs. This is the ground where Sant Jee “awoke a sleeping community” – what happened? After 5 years it went back to sleep? Let’s seriously consider what is happening – i.e. the root cause.
2. UK and Canada (and elsewhere) – cults like Satnam (Narinder Grewal) have seen huge numbers of predominantly Amritdhari families (largely from AKJ backgrounds) cutting their kesh, in the UK following them being kicked out of Canada, I have personally witnessed certain “sants” from Udasi deras in BC spreading their gospel for people so that they do not have to have the “restrictions” of keeping Kesh and Kakkars as per Guru Sahib’s Amrit Sanchar – i.e. active condoning of patit behaviour which attract large followings.
In previous generations (say those who emmigrated during or before the 1950s) we could say the immigrants were from Pinds, manual farmers etc and largely uneducated and naive so would easily be led astray. What beats me is the youth and present 30-40 something generation today who have ALL had access to education, access to multimedia and resources allowing them to understand and comprehend various GLOBAL issues, are still duped by fairy tale stories from dubious babas, fall for these cults and their propaganda, even those that claim to support the Akal Thakt and simultanously speak against the Sikh Rehit Maryada.
So again, let’s try and get to the root cause, perhaps one thing to consider maybe, what are we, the mainstream Panth doing in our own lives that makes others not only uninspired by the Khalsa traditions, but actually detest it and want to move away from it?
Then again, judging by the quality of language here from some of today’s youth Khalsa, who not only have a hard time staying away from use of obsenities, but can barely string together a sentence of english, maybe my comments with regard to education and ability are also naive – seems like everyone whats to equate Guru Sahib, Baba Deep Singh, the Shaheeds and others with 50 cents or Ali G!

We as Khalsa Sikhs need to storm the building and recover GuruJis Saroop and take Guru to a Gurdwara and properly do Sukh Asan until everytime they try to require SGGS they cant get one or cant keep one.

Head priest :- Tochi Singh Boparai aka Tarlochan Singh Boparai [name used in temple affairs.] also goes by the name of Tom. The followers call him Baba. DOB 10.12 1955. Came to the UK aged approx 11, from Village Pragpur, Jallandhar, Punjab, India.
A known trouble maker from a young age, having being expelled from schools for physical violence towards white pupils ever since he arrived.
He is separated from his wife with which he has 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl.
His ex wife lives in Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton. They split up after he married Kawaljit Virdee in an unofficial capacity in front of his wife, thereafter he left his family and moved out.
Tochi started his spiritual healing and exorcisms whilst he had a dry cleaning business in Wolverhampton and this would take place above the shop. Kawaljit started to attend and they began to have an affair. Kawaljits family did not like this at all and there were a lot of incidents between Tochi and her family. Incidents like Tochis car being smashed up and assaults, abh and gbh etc.
Kawaljits family who still live in Wolverhampton (her mother, brother now deceased and his wife and two children) disowned her, even to this day Kawaljits mother does not speak to Tochi but she has now however started to meet her daughter after the death of her son.
Meanwhile Kawaljit was so much in love with Tochi that she decided to give up prostitution and live with Tochi. This is when they got married in an unofficial hindu ceremony that took place above the dry cleaning shop. After which Tochi assaulted his real wife and then left her outside a relatives house in Wolverhampton.
Tochi openly admits to his followers that he intended to kill his real wife by taking her to India and then he never planned to return to the UK. But this all changed when he was instructed by god to open a temple called Ek Niwas in conjunction with Kawaljit.
They then started to practise their cult together at the house of kawaljit in Whitmore Reans, after sometime of gathering donations from the public they bought a house on Dudley road (next door to the dentists) and opened their cult temple Ek Niwas. Their cult following began to grow extremely over the coming years and they started to acquire very large cash donations.
Then it was announced that god had informed them to build the best temple in Europe so they went from a temple in a house to the above location which was formally a chemical factory of some sort.
They have been very clever and are very charming and it must be said that they are masters at their craft, they are like a mix between business people, politicians and real life gangsters.
They have thought through what they are doing very carefully, for example there are thousands of temples in the world but in order to generate interest and leads like in any business they had to be different. So what would be more different than to put every and any faith under the same roof, hence this would attract people from all communities and all age groups.
Like any business attracting people and interesting them is the hard part but once they are through the door you can start to work on them and mould them to serve the cause.
They have also successfully exploited the media, T.V and Radio. Having featured on Zee T.V and Radio XL on which they had a regular slot.
In turn they appeal to a wide audience of people and are very successful in recruiting them and abusing them for their own beneifit without the person even knowing that they are being used.
The temple is open everyday in the morning and evenings with the main prays etc on Tuesday evening, Thursday evening and all day Sunday till late.
Everyone attending is seen by Tochi or Kawajit or even both as the case may be after the Prays and singing. This is done on a one to one basis in private.
People attend each session from all over the length and breadth of the country
When the temple is open cash donations just flood in.
They psychologically brain wash people so much that they themselves start to believe that they are doing what god wants them to do and that gods wish is communicated to them through Tochi and Kawaljit. People start to depend on this advise and guidance like a form of drug they get addicted.
So when Tochi or Kawaljit ask for a cash donation from a person they feel obliged to give and at the same time ashamed that they have had to have been asked for it whereas they should have had done so themselves out of respect. They expect donations weekly without fail.
They do not condone violence and believe that any means is just and necessary to fight the cause, like suicide bombers. Some parents see Tochi and Kawaljit as mature people who have this ability to understand and connect to their teenage kids, so they bring their problem children to the temple in the hope that they may be able to steer them in the right direction i.e away from extreme views, drugs, theft, violence and gang culture etc.
Tochi and Kawaljit secretly praise these type of people when they are seen by them, which is on a one to one basis in the temple, hence winning them over and support them for their own use and benefit. In turn the children to not object to coming to the temple with there parents and then they start to over time brain wash them gradually. One example of this would be that if a person is Violent and in a gang, they will inform the parents that it is out of the control of their child because he is possessed but they will be able to heal him given time. So this gives the parents hope and some justification to the actions of their child. So then the parents maybe told to go easy on the child and not to ask him too many questions of where he has been and were he maybe going and when he will be back etc.
This in turn reduces the tension in the household and all parties involved think that things are genuinely changing, thanks to the guidance and support from the temple and what they have been instructed to do by God directly Via Tochi and Kawaljit.
Meanwhile Tochi and Kawaljit mould this type of person knowing that he may be very useful to them and have connections that they can exploite at anytime when the need may arise. They advise a lot of people like this to go on holiday in India and recommend that they will be well looked after by the contacts that they have there. (Read on this will make sence)
Female priest :- Kawaljit Kaur Virdee aka Baby and she also uses the name kanwaljit, the followers call her Mata. DOB ~1954. Kawaljit is a known former asain prostitute who used to operate in the Whittmore Reans area of Wolverhampton. Married to Gurjeet singh dob 30.11.1948. Used to own/run a market stall in Cannock market. Also all the above owned and may still own a shop, Sutton farm foods and wines, unit 2-3 shopping trade, tilstock cresent, shrewsbury, wy2 6hw. 01743 358 612.
Kawaljit and Gurjeet have 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. Eldest girl Harjinder aka Pinky,being married to Gurjinder Loyal aka Sonu from India. Pinky is also a key player in this set up. All the above are very sharp minded and clever but Kawaljit and Gurjeets son, Harvinder known as Rinky (and also Harvey) is quite the prodcial son and it is known that he does divulge confidential information about the Temple activities to other people once he is drunk. However this said he does know how to keep his mouth shut when he is sober. The two younger daughers being Satvinder known as Saty and Jasvinder known as Jass.
All the above live at the temple. There is also another private dwelling built within the rear car park, this is where Pinky and her husband live along with her in laws who have only recently arrived in the uk from India.
Tochi and Kawaljit are totally uneducated and have no formal religious training or qualifications whatsoever. They are self made cult leaders.
Tochi and Kawaljit own property in India at, Ek Niwas, #17, 3B1, Mohali, Punjab, India.
Tochi also has property and land at Village Pragpur, PO Dhanowali, Jallandhar, Punjab, India.
They have bought 100s of acres of land over the past 7 years in the mountains in Kalka which is near the border of Pakistan. They have conveniently acquired this land as it is near Pakistans Radar, so near in fact that it can be seen from their land clearly.
Hundreds of acres of land purchased in India in the mountain regions, check money transfers made abroad. Have purchased lots of property in India in the Punjab and Delhi areas. In Delhi the have accommodation very close to the Indra Ghandi airport.
Check accounts, cash donations where is the money going? A stall is run within the temple which sells all type of religious items fancy goods, this is a very productive cash business for which no accounts are submitted or tax paid.
All the purchases that are made from the income generated by the temple, are made in their own personal names. (In the names of Tochi, Kawaljit and Gurjeet along with there children and son in law) Purchases such as land, property and cars etc in the UK and abroad. They also have a whole host of companies that they seem to own one being Kamal Mata LTD.
They make large cash purchases buying cars etc.
They have had asian business men give them very large donations of sums of amounts as big as £50,000 cash. Tochi was on a radio interview on an asian radio station, radio xl in Birmingham, when one such business man demanded his money back and Tochi denied all knowledge and the management cut the call. The management of Radio XL support them too and they all use this medium to introduce themselves to young and old members of the asian community. They had their own weekly slot on the show too for many years.
Ek Niwas is a Registered Charity but the accounts not up to date why? The accounts which have been submitted in the past are totally false they show the temple to be in debt. One way to prove this would simply be to observe the amount of donations that are given in public at the temple by people attending and the followers.
They have a clever tax specialist accountant who fiddles the books. Know as Deeshee from east London. Who comes every week to stay for the weekend. Mr Sockhal 49 Greenwich high, London. Approx 6 Tall, clean shaven, medium build and fair complextion.
Paradise city time share scam, sold time shares @£2000 cash to thousands of people attending the temple in the late 90s (approx 1996 and onwards). They attracted national coverage by advertising in the Times Newspaper. Working along side them was an English gentleman who they claimed was a pilot and a Sikh gentleman known as Billa who has some connection to a shop somewhere in Birmingham called Uncles. Its believed that Billas father in law owns the shop called Uncles and Billa may be found working there. Billa is approx 5.8 tall, chubby build, wears a black turban and has a trimmed beard with fair complextion.
They told people that for a sum of £2,000 they were buying a detached luxury dwelling in a complex that they were going to build themselves as they had been instructed to by god. This complex was going to be a safe Haven for the troubled times that lay ahead in the UK and the whole world for that matter. It would have armed security and would be a one stop closed complex including shops etc. It was also stated that in the terrible times of trouble that lay ahead this would be the only safe place on earth and that only the lucky souls that were fortunate enough to attend the temple were blessed with this information.
This scam was run for quite some time and when people started to ask questions of when the dwellings were going to be ready and started pushing to visit the site in India, when they were planning to go for holidays, they kept the money and told everyone the company went bust. This money was then sent abroad to India.
It is a fact that they have transferred hundreds and thousands of pounds from banks in the UK to banks in Chandigarh, India. They have also used the black market to transfer money abroad too.
Kawaljit is wanted to appear in court in Chandigarh, India, for legal proceedings under the terrorism act. This case is against a retired army colonel who lives in chandigarh. The colonel was introduced to them by Pinkys father in law and her husband Gurjinder Loyal (aka Sonu). Pinkys in laws who are now living with them at the temple in Wolverhampton, are key partners in the India operations. The colonel was used for his contacts to purchase land in the mountains and they thought if they could win him over would be a very useful person to them, due to his military background and training. The coronal was not stupid, after spending months getting to know them all he was able to build up a true picture of what they were intending to do, i.e. acquire land to make a terrorist training camp etc. The coronal was also offered a job and asked to recruit other ex army personnel to aid in training and people from extremist groups within India and Kashmir.
He realised that he was dealing with a very dangerous and extremist organisation, so he then informed the Police, after doing so he was attacked and left for dead, but in fact he survived, only just.
There is warrant out for her arrest and the police have been regularly going to their house in Ek Niwas, #17, 3B1, Mohali, Punjab, India. They are attended to by there Housekeeper a man in his 40s called Chintu. This man is much more than a housekeeper and is the right hand man in the India operations. Recently Chintus son was caught in possession of a very large quantity of heroin and arrested and imprisoned with intent to supply. His arrest was made near the Rajasitan boarder with Punjab. Chintus wife was also arrested and imprisoned and caught supplying Heroin in the Jallandhar, Punjab. Chintu and his family are all on the Ek Niwas payroll. Chintu is formerly from G.T Road, Jallandhar near the Village of Pragpur.
Kawaljit lived in India for extended periods to promote themselves and since then she has only returned now secretly to India after a period of approx 5 years, she may have gone under a different identity. However Tochi and Gurjeet along with Gurjeets children have been back and fourth regulary. Kawaljits return to India so soon after the bombings in the UK indicates that something big and important must be taking place, as it is a very big risk she is taking because if caught by the police now, she will be Imprisoned and tried in a court of law in Chandigarh. It is possible that Tochi, Kawaljit and Gurjeet may have both Indian and British passports.
Since arriving in Britain Gurjinder (aka sonu) has worked in the shop at Shrewsbury but now works as a bus driver for west midlands transport.
Gurjinder (aka sonu) and his parents lived in Patiala, India, from where it was convenient for them to support terrorists in Kashmir in supplying them with firearms etc that came directly into India through their connections from China.
Gurjinder (aka Sonu) has been to and lived in the states in New York and worked as a Taxi Driver once again a convenient job. He has also been and lived in Australia from where he was caught deported back to India for reasons unknown at this time. It is believed that he changed his identity before he went abroad again, i.e false passport and other documents in another name etc.

Over time they develop a strong bond and brain wash people with their ideas such as that Mahatma Ghandi has been reincarnated as Prince Charles, justifying that it is true by pointing out the resemblance of the big ears and that before Ghandi died he vowed that he would bring shame on the British for all that they have done wrong whilst in India.
They have been saying since 1998 that trouble will be started by Muslims worldwide, saying the will have to be eliminated, wiped out by an army that god has instructed Tochi to make before a peaceful world can start.
They make bold claims such as, that at Meeca under the tomb that no person is allowed to see is a Shiv ling (A hindu thing used to worship Shiva). Once this tomb is uncovered and water is allowed to flow on and around it, this will kill all the muslims in the world instantly. They claim that they will uncover the tomb and their army of chosen ones will fire arrows into the heavens from where it will rain by the will of God and this will mark the end of Muslims in the world and a new world will begin.
In this time of war they state that the only safe place will be on their land that they are purchasing and will be developing in the mountains in India.
They brain wash the young and venerable claiming that god speaks to them directly and openly admit this in public and in interviews. (please read the article by Ron and Catherine Geaves)
Claim that they have been instructed by god to make an army of selected ones to fight their cause.
Openly brag about having access to and owning firearms and the knowledge of using them. Tochi had a member of a gun club give him a certificate on stage on a Sunday worship (the main day) to certify that he is a shooting expert. Hoping it will increase in the number of new leads in youngsters to recuirt.
Advise young people to go on Holidays to India in the mountains for de stressing doing things like target practise with real guns.
Exploit people by saying that they can spiritually heal them but in return they must do as he says because thats what God is telling them to do. A lot of young people start following them but only a few realise that they have been miss guided are told by Tochi and Kawaljit that they will die and a whole number of young males have suddenly committed suicide under suspious circumstances.
Recently there has been an increase in the number of Muslims attending the temple, especially the younger generation most of whom are students. Tochi and Kawaljit promote the extreme views of radical Islamic leaders and actively promote suicide bombing and terrorist behaviour. They brain wash people in to their own way of thinking for example that Saddam Hussain was a great leader who has done nothing wrong apart from stopping the USA and the UK rob them of their oil.
Another thing that they promote to young Muslims is racial hate especially toward the white British and Jews.
They say that History teaches us that peaceful protest gets you nowhere in this world like the methods of Mahatma Ghandi. They imprint the impression upon young minds that the route of Violence and terrorism is the only option and way forward and that all this is communicated to them directly by god for the betterment of the world. They also inform the young followers that they are very lucky and that they have been sent to seek advise and guidance from the temple as the will of God because they are special and may be the select few chosen ones that will carry out some very important tasks in the near future.
They provide people with false/ new identities i.e proper passports, national insurance numbers and driving licences. This type of activity was also proved to be true locally in a Walsall Sikh temple a short time back.
Tochi, Kawaljit and Gurjeet have all been arrested on a rape charge in the past, it is believe that they intimidated the woman and her family so much that they dropped the charge.
They abuse young females in the temple by physically and mentally, beating them and justifying this by saying that they are possessed. This process is bondage like and sometimes the person is held by kawaljit and beaten by Tochi, whilst others are always on hand to help and partake.
If people do try to inform the police etc they are intimidated and also told especially by Kawaljit that they are really out of their depth and that they do not know who they are dealing with and also that they will disappear without a trace and that no one will even be able to find their bones.
Checking all the details of their phone calls going over the years and you will find that they have ran up thousands of pounds in bills to premium rate sex chat lines from their personal landline that is in their living quarters in the temple. They have changed their landline number so many times over the years.
Balwinder Singh Mugger a contact they have in Nakodar, Punjab, India. Balwinder is a known Sikh extremist since the attack on the golden temple in 1984 and now is involved in local politics and supports and aids the temple in accommodating and training people in terrorist activities, whilst they are in India. Balwinder has the ability to provide false documents like new identities etc from his contacts within the government that he bribes and whom are on his payroll. He is a very well known player within Jallandhar, he has contacts with high ranking police officers too who because they are on his payroll conveniently turn a blind eye to his activities.

So therefore Khalsa Ji we would like to bring this matter to your attention so that our Guru is no longer abused, exploited and insulted, as it has been for so many years now within a Mandir!!
We find it shameful that we Sikhs have not been able to stop this any sooner and also the fact that we have not been able to stand united to take action in order to stop this Insult.

We have contacted yourselves in relation to a matter that requires urgent attention & action, with regards to an institution that has been & still is in the process of insulting the Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.

They have had the Parkash of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji established within this mandir for a period of 10 years. This is along with statues of various faiths & Hindu Gods & they also cater for the worship of Islamic Peers.
We have outlined some of our concerns below:
There is no sewa of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji at all,
There is no Amritdhari Granthi Singh for the sewa of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji,
There is no Prakash or Sukashan of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji,
No Hukamnama is ever taken,
No Prashad is made or given to any person,
No Nitnem or Kirtan from the Guru Granth Sahib Ji at anytime,
There is never any person in the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji at anytime,
People are allowed to go about with uncovered heads in the presence of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji,
And the offences are endless.
Ek Niwas mandir portrays a very plausible front & is very successful in interesting the young & vulnerable who are impressionable. In this period of 10 years they have brain washed & converted countless Sikh youth to cut their uncut hair and beards. They then lead people away from our Sikh faith promoting Hinduism & the worship of Islamic Peers.
In the Uk the parkash of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji is strictly prohibited within Gurmukh Sikh households, so how is the parkash of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji justified in a mandir? A mandir of all places!!?
We feel strongly that the Parkash of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji should be removed from this mandir by the order of the Akal Takt & this is why we have brought this matter to your attention in order to make this happen.
We have also approached the local Gurdwaras within Wolverhampton who up until now have been reluctant to take any action to date. It is very regrettable that up to now all the Gurdwara committees have turned a blind eye to this matter.
The Sikh community feel ashamed that this matter has not been addressed sooner as the Muslim community ordered & removed all Islamic signs from the mandir very soon after it opened some 10 years ago.
Please look into this matter urgently & take the appropriate action before anymore damage is caused to our Faith. The preservation of our history, culture & faith is our duty & this shall only be attained by standing united along with help & support from learnered scholars like yourselves.
We can only pray that you too do not shy away from this grave Insult of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji & have the strength to address this matter head on with great urgency.

Although i am against the Guru Granth Sahib being kept at Ek Niwas, we must question what is happening in todays society?
The key messages enshirned within the Guru Granth Sahib are that:
-All beings are equal
-All beings have god within them
-No to Caste
-No to forced conversion to religion
-No to idoltry
-No to belief in Avatars
-God is omnipresent
-Internal devotion is more important than external form.
Why has this silly movement – reclaim the Guru Granth Sahib movement started for? Our youngsters are being groomed by fundamental sections of the panthe, promoting them to go out and take futile actions in the name of Sikhism.
If the youth want to make a stand today, let them stand for the principles enshrined within Guru Granth Sahib. Let them stand up against caste system within Sikhism, against phoney sants (making money off Sikhism), against muslim attempts to force Sikh women to islam, against the heavy presence of Idolatry within Sikhism……… not to go distrub somebodys wedding, to be seen acting the hero.
These misguided Sikh youngsters will not dream to defie their parents by marrying out of their caste, they stick to their own caste gurdwaras (ha – if Guru Nanak could see the state of Sikhs (false caste Sikhs) of today.
Secondily, i have read all the posts on this matter, and it is obviously apparent that there is a bias towards clean shaven Sikhs.
As far as im concerened – there is a difference between Sikhism and Singhism (which is the miltary body formed by Guru Gobind Singh to fight the Mughals). Guru Nanak wasn’t a Singh, neither was the first 9 Guru’s.
They is an errorneous belief that those with beards are more pious, more moral than clean shaven Sikhs – what stupidty. The level of hair on a man’s face has nothing to do with the strength of the love he has for God. Hairy hells-angel rockers have big beards – they often have no morals. Whereas the last 5 popes of the Catholic religion were clean shaven – weren’t they men? Weren’t they men of God? Some say they weld more power than any of the Guru’s did – but they don’t have beards.
Lets get down to the crux of the matter here. None of the Guru’s left explicit instructions about how worship was to be conducted in Gurdwaras. What we have today in most Gurdwaras is the evolution of many cutural practices coming together to form some sort of organised conduct. Who is to say which cultural practice is right, and which is wrong???
Guru Nanak worshipped the one omnipotent, omnipresent being……. why shouldn’t we??? I have supreme respect for Shri Guru Granth Sahib – but i don’t believe in idoltary neither.
Brahminism has spread its roots within Sikhism – Jat Sikhs need to wake up and acknowledge the part they are playing in aiding brahminism -

A few years back Kuldip Manak went to ek niwas and he was singing on stage totally drunk and i know this to be true cos I saw him with my own eyes, now that kind thing should not happen in any place of worship.
Anyways Bhai Sahib from soho road gurdwara are in favour of the removal of the Guru Granth Sahib and they are a very respectable personailty within the uk and I’m sure they have not come to this conclusion without good reason.

People said the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (SGGS) held at Ek Niwas was being disrespected. This was certainly not the case. Mata Ji has been doing its seva for the past 42 years. The SGGS has been fully respected.
With Sikh Leaders requests for the SGGS to be taken away from Ek Niwas, it is unmistakable that this will never happen.
The immense respect that Mata Ji has for the SGGS it is impossible for it to be taken away from her. With so much love and affection she has for the SGGS, a Gurdwara will be built as a compromise. This will take a lot of effort and money but will be worth it due to the full respect of the SGGS by Mata Ji. This is such an honourable thing to happen.
I have heard that the Sikh Leaders have objected to the opening of the Gurdwara by Ek Niwas. This is rather confusing due to the compromise that is inherent. But what is fascinating is that I have spoken to Sungat from lots of areas and other Gurdwaras who all give their support.
I personally give Good Luck to Mata Ji for her sheer determination and respect for the SGGS for taking this decision to build a Gurdwara. God Bless her.

I’m a hindu and after all the comotion I went to ek niwas to check it out, upon entering the car park I was greeted by dog poo. When I went to take my shoes off inside there was dog poo again and the place smelt like dog kennels.
ThIs place is called ek niwas but I only saw the Sikh Granth, so why is there no Geeta, Vedas, Puran, Kuran or even a Bible present????

look guys i went to ek niwas ystrdy 2 check it out 4 myself + soon as i walkd thru a lady woz doin kirtan of waheguru waheguru. da sevek showd me round and it startd from da sggs which woz up da stairs, on like a 2nd floor on a separate side. thy had summit 2 cater 4 al religions. thn da lady (who i woz told woz da mata) continued this waheguru jaap4bout 45mins. da sangat were so peaceful. i felt like there woz sum sort of power ther.

In terms of hygene Ek Niwas is cleanest temple around. Look at the Kitchen, the toilets etc, you can’t find faults. Why because sevadars respect the temple so much that it has beome part of their normal seva to keeep it clean. Please come other gurdwaras etc by all means.

The olders are involved. Ek Niwas Leaders, various Sikh Leaders, the Police, various Sikh and also Hindu organisations.
A first meeting at Wolves Police Headquarters has already been attended. The next meeting is due.
As more attendees now visit Ek Niwas for the first time, they are happy with the respect shown to the SGGS and have no reason for it to be removed. This is very interesting as most people who what the SGGS removed have never been to Ek Niwas to see for themselves.
The offset of such disrespect shown to Ek Niwas by Sikh Leaders have lead for a New Gurdwara to be built as a compromise. Because the SGGS is so much respected by Ek Niwas Mata Ji it can not be taken away from such a holy lady who has done its seva for more than 42 years.

Learn something, if the SGGS was not intented to be kept at Ek Niwas, then it would have been taken a long time ago, 14/15 year has passed no one has been allowed to do so. It is Guru Ji who is allowing the SGGS to be kept there as the full respect is happening.

I found out from the meeting held at police quarters not long ago, they were left in a muddle, arguing with themselves and not constructing any realistic argument on why the SGGS should be taken away from Ek Niwas.
Also in relation to the latter, if the sikh community respected the sikh leaders so much why is that all who are against Ek Niwas have formed lots of groups to deal with the situation. Why can’t the decision be left up to your sikh leaders group. There is no union beteen the sikh community. If you believe in these sikh leaders then leave the situation to be sorted out to them and respect the conclusion that will happen (Guru Ji’s result what ever it will be).

Mata claims she has done the seva of the SGGS for 42 years but at the old mandir based in a house dudley, there was no SGGS.

Ek Niwas have found our weaknesses. They know them. They know them because Sikhs do their own beadbi and shame online. You only have to look at some of the issues on the net regarding Sikhs nowadays to see the sad sorry state of affairs the UK sangat in particular have made for themselves. I think Sukha/rav..whatever is referring to Guru Gobind Singh ji’s Shahab “De Ho Shiva Bar Mohe Eh”.
I want to make it clear here that Shiva here is the God, not a Hindu God(btw there is just one and only one God, and in Jaap Sahib Guru Gobind Singh ji said that God is independent of gender; dont know why we use words such as Gods and Goddesses)
Also, in Chaupai Sahib, Guru Gobind Singh ji said
“Mahadev ko Kehat Sada Shiv Nirankar ka Chinat na Bhiv”
let’s break it down:
Mahadev- Lord Shiva
Kehat – said
Sada Shiv- God Almighty
Nirankar – God Almighty
Chinat- Remember or Simran
If you put it all together, it means:
Some do simran of Lord Shiva, but no one remembers God, the creator of Shiva
Also, Guru sahib ji explains in the Bachittar Natak that Brhama, Vishnu and Shiva were created by the God to help people do simran and do good karma, but instead they made people do their simran.
Furthermore, I always hear people say Guruji worshipped Goddess Durga; this is utter nuisance. Guru ji used Durga, Chandi and Bhagauti for Kirpan/sword in his banis. Moreover, kirpan symbolized justice, a law of God.

Imaging 15 years from now and for argument sake you then have kids. Is this how we want to educate them. Such horrible vulgar slanging goings on. Everyone swearing alongside religion. This is not on. Even slagging priests of.
You son/daughter will ask you mum/dad, why is there no peace in todays society. Then you look back today and look at this Blog and thats the reason why.
No one wants to even change their own thinking as they know they are always correct. Everyone knows the saying you are always learning in life up until the day you die. This also applies to religion. I bet the followers from all religions if they look deep into their own they will definately learn somthing new. More important they will probably rectify thinking on an issue they previously though was set in a certain way. It takes emence effort to change your own opinion on such matters especially religious opinons.
Even though I go to Ek Niwas it has taught me to view life in this way and respect all people way of thinking etc. You can go to any religious place of worship and learn the same think. That is if you want to learn.

I have read every coment that has been made on this site and i feel that everyone should just grow up and let every individual make their own choice of what they want to belive in. I have visited ek niwas and found that there is respect given to all the religions there and everyone is very friendly. I must admit it is the cleanest temple i have been to. I am sikh and i did not find anyone disrespecting the guru granth sahib.We should not keep making comments of how people are at that paticular place of worship, if anyone is doing anything bad god will punish them one day. Wahe guru ji ka khalsa wahi guru ji ki fateh.
