1st Round Playoff Picks

The playoffs officially get underway today, and lucky for me I'm only 2 exams away from actually being able to enjoy them. So as always its time to make my picks and here's how I see it. Feel free to add your own in the comments, and we'll see how close we are.

West Coast
San Antonio Vs Sacramento - San Antonio
Dallas Vs Memphis - Dallas
Denver VS LA Clipers - LA Clippers
Phoenix vs LA Lakers - Phoenix

East Coast
Detroit Vs Milwaukee - Detroit
Cleveland Vs Washington - Cleveland
New Jersey Vs Indiana - New Jersey
Miami Vs Chicago - Miami

No major surprises here. The Phoenix series should be the most fun to watch, and I wouldn't put it pass Kobe to pull a game or two out of his back pocket, but I think he used up all his miracles by getting the Lakers this far. On the East, I'm going with the underdogs (Cleveland) who have a 1-3 record against Washington. Hopefully Lebron will be able to step it up big, and not disappoint.

I felt obliged to post my playoff picks after you asked me to. Just like you supply the Blog-fiends a daily fix of your thoughts. I’m going to supply you with some NBA knowledge so tie your pugh around your arm real tight and take a hit of this.

    West Coast
San Antonio Vs Sacramento – San Antonio
Phoenix Vs LA Lakers – Phoenix
Denver VS LA Clippers – Denver
    Dallas Vs Memphis – Dallas

    Second Round
    San Antonio VS Dallas- Dallas
    Phoenix Vs Denver- Phoenix

    Conference Finals
    Dallas Vs Phoenix- Dallas

    East Coast
    Detroit Vs Milwaukee – Detroit
    Miami Vs Chicago – Miami
New Jersey Vs Indiana – New Jersey
    Cleveland Vs Washington – Cleveland

    Second Round
    Detroit Vs Cleveland- Detroit
Miami Vs New Jersey- New Jersey

    Conference Finals
Detroit Vs New Jersey- New Jersey

    Finals
Dallas Vs New Jersey- New Jersey

Cleveland isn’t a underdog they should win the series in six games. After Lary Hughes neutralizes Gilbert Arenas the Wizards are done, the Wiz don’t have an answer for Lebron. Your picks are all safe bets you chose the top-seed in every series, you gotta put in at least one upset to make things interesting. My upsets in the second round are Detroit, Miami, San Antonio all loosing.

Ps: To Harsimran Miami Sucks, and to Gagan the Lakers suck more

Ps again: Vince Carter is half man half AMAAAZZZINNGGGGG

shinda i agree with ur picks fully
finals gonna b detriot v. phoenix – phoenix gonna take it home this year

  5. IIte Lets get this part started,
    West coast
Dallas, San Antonio(Ron Artest says they gonna win, hes seriously on crack), Clippers and Phoenix gonna get through then Dallas gonna kill San Antonio and Phoenix gonna take out the Clippers.
In the Western Finlas IF Amare is goo dto go in this series at 90% then theyll take it. But with no Amare Dallas goin to the big dance. Hell they better go to the Finals after the owner dishes out 2 million in free airline tix.

East Coast:Detroit, Miami(hahaha Marc Jackson on ABC thinks Bulls gonna win, man be smokin toooo much), New Jersey and Bron Bron’s Cavs.
then Detroit gonna take out Lebron but hell end the playoffs with an average of 28-7-7 which is dirty. Miami gonna take New Jersey in 7 unless Vince goes insane with the threes. In the east Miami gonna tak eout Detroit. Shaq is gonna merk em WATCH.

    Finals:
Sorry to say but this is the year Big D takes it all. Miami gonna lose to Dallas.
Harsimran dont cry theyll make the Finals. As for Gagan Lakers Suck. they shouldnt have made the playoffs, the only thing i agree on is KOBE IS GOD at the moment. haha

As for my KG wolves he gonna be gone in the offseason, Gotta get a new team for next year.

    West Coast

    1st Round

San Antonio-Sacramento —- San Antonio in 5, Kings get game 3 at home. Then they continue being the Queens.

Dallas-Memphis — Dallas in 6. Pao “Big Beard” Gasol and Mike “6th Man” Miller help the Griz win 2 games but big Dirk and Josh Howard are too much to contain.

Denver-Clippers — Clips take this in 5. Elton Brand, The Cat and Sam Cassell are too much to handle for the Nuggets and Chris Kaman will be the X-Factor.

Suns-Lakers aka Kobe — I got my main man Kobe takin this series in 6 or 7 games. The Suns will put up a fight but Kobe will break MJs 63point record and on his back they advance to round 2. Lamar Odom will average 15pts, 8rbs, 6asts and watch out for Kwame to have some 20-15 games.

    2nd Round

San Antonio – Dallas — This is a coin toss that goes to the Spurs in 7.

LAC – LAL — I’m pickin with my heart and saying the Lakers in 6.

    West Finals

LAL – Spurs — This is where Kobe cant win on his own. Even he’ll be too worn out by this time and thus he and the lakers go fishing.

    East Coast

    Pistons in 4.
    Heat in 5.
    Nets in 6.
    Cavs in 6.

    Round 2

    Pistons in 6.
    Heat in 6.

    East Finals

Pistons in 7 (my bad Harsimran but we both know D-Wades gonna be too banged up to be healthy.)

    FINALS

    Pistons in 7 over Spurs.

I know most of you will disagree with me, especially wit the Lakers making it to the West Finals, but thats your opinion and this is mine. Just like you never bet against Clark Kent or Jack Bauer, you just don’t bet against Kobe and Phil.

Yo detriot gona have two parades this year, redwings and pistons. Be jokes if they did it together. NBA playoffs are far more easy to predict, almost gauranteed no upsets will happen. NHL is more difficult, first round will have numerous upsets alone.

    Lakers over Clippers
    Lakers over Spurs

    Miami over lakers in 6…

Atam, first of all the homo habs aint going nowhere (1 win is nothing!) And we will talk about the leafs next year when they take the season series 7-1 against the habs … with the habs winning one of the games as they take to the ice in just their pink underwear, forcing the leafs to forfeit the game.

Im making my picks late. Sue me.

    West Coast
San Antonio Vs Sacramento – Spurs, HAHAHAHA 122 – 88 AHAHAHAHA

Dallas Vs Memphis – Dallas (Its just wrong that Dirk can be 7 feet tall and have that much range)

Denver VS LA Clipers – LA Clippers (The clips, with sam casell and kaman scaring the opposition away with the most hideous faces in sports history.)

Phoenix vs LA Lakers – Lakers (After the Game 1 loss and Kobe missing easy jumpers AND getting smacked in the face a few times, look for him to drop 45+ in game 2.) P.S Steve Nash is ill.

    East Coast
Detroit Vs Milwaukee – Detroit (I hate these fools, but they are just too damn good)

Cleveland Vs Washington – Cleveland (Why doesnt LeBron just go make his own league and play against his future kids? Its just not fair.)

New Jersey Vs Indiana – Indiana (I hate Vince Carter. Hes the definition of marshmellow and didnt even get the last shot in game 1)

Miami Vs Chicago – Miami (If Flash and Shaq dont break down, they are winning it all)

Atam, Carolina is losing this series because they are afraid to check the Habs, with fear that they may be violated sexually and homoerotically.

Second, even if the Habs win this series that doesnt mean anything. If winning one round of the playoffs means something, the the Leafs have been champions for the last 5 years ;) .
